The location of the Cornucopia is a perfect choice for the tranquillity-seeker. The view from the hotel is captivating, with views over the valley and the distant villages leading down to the bay of Marsalforn. Although the hotel is an idyllic place for quiet, relaxation and country walks, it is also just a few minutes away from the Xagħra village square, a meeting place for visitors and locals. The village of Xagħra is built around the main church and you can also find a bank, pharmacy and various other shops. Restaurants, cafés and bars huddled together give the sleepy village a vibrant feel.
The Cornucopia is also within walking distance of Ġgantija, the world’s oldest man-made, free-standing structure. Other interesting cultural sites can be found around Xagħra, which is one of the oldest villages in Gozo.
Ideally located in the heart of Gozo, the rest of the island can easily be reached by car in less than 15 minutes. If you choose not to drive, there is public transport which will get you to most destinations. Airport transfers, car rental and taxis can be organised by the hotel’s sister company, Gozo Garage.
